About me
Passionate about being an intermediary
My different mainstays have a common point of intersection: mediation, in the narrower and broader sense. As a mediator, I create spaces for mediants, in music mediation I create stages, in arts management I pass on know-how and know-why and when I play, I try to pass on music.
Born in Heidelberg in 1980, studied viola and music education (Diploma) as well as theatre and orchestra management (Master of Arts). Support and work experience in internationally active cultural, music and educational organisations, e.g. the Barenboim-Said Foundation (Ramallah), Niños en Armonía (Mar del Plata). Stations: From 2009 extended arts management at dm; from 2013 self-employed by founding KuBiMa; 2017 co-founding of ema MusikcInitiative; 2022 training as a mediator at the Heidelberg Institute for Mediation / University of Heidelberg; since 2023 certified mediator according to the Mediation Act.
In my free time, I like travelling and capturing beautiful moments, little things and hidden gems with my camera. As far as my time allows, I also show these on Instagram.
Publications
Print and digital
In the field of music education, I publish ideas, concepts and best practice solutions on various topics, also together with my colleague Erdmute Maria Hohage. Click on a cover to access further information.
Volunteering
I am a volunteer in civil defence and disaster control at the German Federal Agency for Technical Relief (THW), specialising in water hazards (currently on hiatus due to injury).
Inventions
Self developed
As co-inventor, I developed the innovative fingerboard attachment Resounding Fingerboard and the bow attachment Resounding Bow. Both attachments are the first of their kind. While fingering aids - as they are also named - usually restrict something, these attachments do the opposite: they expand the range of movements. Click on a cover to go to the topic pages of the attachments. Both are for string instruments.
